ITT Showcases Products at MineEXPO

    Margaret Gan | 9/24/2012

ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) is showcasing  innovative slurry pumps, industry leading knife-gate valves and a variety of other technological solutions for mining operations at MINExpo, one of the world’s largest trade shows for the global mining community.

“ITT produces a wide range of pumps, valves, switches, regulators, connectors and vibration isolation systems, serving customers with the toughest mining applications around the world,” said John Manna, vice president for global marketing and business development, ITT Industrial Process business.  “From aggregate extraction to zinc processing, visitors to MINExpo will see innovative products and services from ITT that can help them to boost the productivity and profitability of their operations.”
Located at booth 3375, ITT products being showcased at MINExpo including the following:

    • The ITT Goulds Pumps XHD Extra Heavy Duty Lined Slurry Pump has been designed for the toughest slurry applications. Designed to set new standards for reliability, the XHD model can replace existing slurry pumps with minimal baseplate and piping changes and be maintained even while running, with more accessible and adjustable parts than other slurry pumps. The XHD is used in applications such as primary metals, mineral processing, non-metallic mining, power utilities, and sand & aggregates.

Two other pumps especially suited to mining applications will be at the MINExpo:
    • The SRL heavy duty rubber lined pump is designed specifically for handling abrasive and corrosive slurries, with replaceable elastomer liners that reduce wear and tear on the pump.
    • Goulds Pumps’ Vertical Industrial Turbine (VIT) pump has been designed to help optimize the processing and extracting of minerals, especially for heap leaching and solvent extraction.
    •  Two ITT Fabri-Valve® products, the 33 PTA and 33 PTD push-through slurry valves, can be custom-designed to handle fluids for many diverse industries, along with mineral processing. Both valves are being shown with a Gate Valve actuator, the new standard for cylinder motion control on all Fabri-Valve products.
      • The 33 PTA incorporates proprietary sleeve technology and a wide body design to maximize valve life.
      • The 33 PTD valve is designed with a proprietary liner for light to medium slurry applications. It incorporates a proprietary liner for smooth operation and low cost of ownership.
      • Turn-Act’s Gate Valve actuator, a light-weight pneumatic linear actuator, has easier installation and less external support than its predecessor, the FA actuator. ITT will also have other hydraulic actuators at its MINExpo booth.

    • Dia-Flo® rubber lined straightway diaphragm valves are cost-effective and versatile diaphragm valves, which are utilized by virtually every type of process plant in the world.

    • ITT Enidine products provide product solutions for energy absorption and vibrations isolation in mining industries.
      • ITT Enidine air springs products provide isolation and suspension on man-movers and vibrating conveyor equipment.
      • Industrial shock absorbers can safely stop crane equipment, mining cars and other moving loads in harsh environments.
      • Wire rope isolators have a corrosion- and environment- resistant design to protect sensitive electronic equipment.

    • From ITT Compact Automation, which provides custom pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, slides and work-holding products, ITT will showcase its new product configurator utility. This allows customers to create their own motion control products that are priced, sized and ready to order.

Through its PRO Services business, the company also provides an array of solutions to repair rotating equipment, improve pump equipment performance and manage total cost of ownership for its customers.
MINExpo takes place Sept. 24, through Sept. 26, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
